hellwach 2017 is coming!

For the 7th time, HELIOS Theater is planning the international theatre festival “hellwach” in Hamm and six other towns in the region. “hellwach” is a meeting point for people of all ages, even the youngest ones. In 2017, "hellwach" will take place from 11.-19. February 2017. The invited theatre productions are seeking for new horizons in aesthetic form and content.

The programme includes plays for children in their early years, teenagers and adults by companies from a total of seven countries in Europe and Africa: „Åben dans“ (Denmark), „Le fil rouge“ (France), „Piccoli Principi“ (Italy), „Thalias Kompagnons“ (Germany), „Tiyatrotem“ (Turkey), „Magnet Theatre“ (South Africa) and „Ishyo Arts Center“ (Rwanda).

Discussions and rounds of talks are offering the opportunity for exchange between guests and visitors, to build networks and dig deeper into certain questions of Theatre for Young Audiences in an international context.

The detailed programme for “hellwach” 2017 will be published in October. If you are very curious, you can already find all the details on our website www.helios-theater.de in September.

The cooperating towns are Ahlen, Bergkamen, Bönen, Kamen, Lippstadt and Lünen.
