APPLAUSE! 2026
Clear the stage for the school theater festival! In 2026, the “APPLAUSE!” festival will take place for the 11th time.
From June 24 to 26, theater-loving groups from secondary schools will present their plays to a wide audience on a professional stage. Whether theater classics or original texts, short or long scenes – everything is welcome here, from literature courses to theater clubs to performing arts courses.
“APPLAUSE!” offers participants the chance to connect with like-minded people, learn about new forms of theater, and engage in moderated discussions with the audience during the three days of the festival.
The focus is always on the exchange of ideas about theater-making: the festival is about learning from each other, gathering new impressions, and, last but not least, the shared joy of performing among all participants.
Schools that have been involved since the very beginning are just as welcome as those that want to take to our stage for the first time:

APPLAUSE! 2024
In 2024 the school theater meeting “APPLAUSE!” has already taken place for the 10th time.
Whether Theater Workshops or literature courses: all interested theater groups from secondary schools dare to came together from the 12th to the 14th June to show pieces they have created themselves on a professional stage as part of the festival.
APPLAUSE! had a meeting between the HELIOS Theater team and theater-loving groups and teachers from Hamm.
